About Us

Since 1872, the Tanner Family has worked directly with the Native People to bring their Art and Jewelry to the World Market Place sharing a proud Tradition and History for over 145 years.

The tradition continues here in Ruidoso with Lynn Tanner, a fifth generation Indian Trader, and his wife Kathy Dawn. In 2007 they purchased land and a building by the Rio Ruidoso and began their own business. Tanner Tradition LLC is now celebrating 10 years in the beautiful Sacramento Mountains.

No imported items, only the finest handmade local & Native American art including contemporary and traditional jewelry. Artists include, Albert Lee, Alfred Lee, Aaron Anderson, Charlie Pratt, Tommy Jackson, Felicia Fragua and Benson Manygoats.
