“Sunday Gospel Brunch PLUGGED/Unplugged with jamie & aka”

Get ready for another great Ruidoso Sunday Gospel Brunch at Sacred Grounds Coffee & Tea House with the popular and versatile band, jamie & aka (Jamie Estes, Dave Millsap, Pete Davis, Bud Hewett and Joey Everett and more), Sunday, July 21st starting at Noon to 2 PM. Tickets are $15 and will include an expanded mouthwatering buffet, in addition to the live Gospel music. Reserved seating tickets can be purchased online at EVENTBRITE.COM and tickets will also be available at the door depending on availability. The buffet is generally set up a little early so, you can fill your plate and have your hands free to wave a fan or clap when the music starts. No more waiting to order, just show your ticket and dig in before you dig out on the live Gospel music! The July brunch will have a new format with not only the usual exuberant ‘plugged’ in electric instrumentation Gospel tunes but, also some new ‘unplugged’ acoustically accompanied tunes will be added for a more varied set. But, don’t expect to be bored or fall asleep with the lowered velocity and volume. The band will be putting the same passion and excitement into the unplugged songs as they will with the plugged in ones. You just can’t do old Gospel tunes without feeling it down to your toes! So, come expecting to do some hand clapping, fan waving. Toe tapping and yes even a little dancing if there’s room…we’ve actually had some people go out on the deck so they could dance without stepping on toes. However you choose to express yourself and enjoy the music Jamie Estes said, “everything’s legal, we just want you to have a good time”. If you’ve attended the Ruidoso Gospel Brunch in the past you know to expect the unexpected both in music and musicians. The Gospel Brunch has been steadily growing in attendance and reserved tickets are suggested if you want to be sure to get a table. The band took a few weeks off to renew and refresh and now they are ready to rev up ole time religion a bit, with some good old Gospel music. Not all of the songs are rocking and rowdy but, even the slow ones will stir up your soul! The band has been gathering up some new/old Gospel tunes to learn and they are going to be awesome!!! Get ready to raise the roof and shake the floor...or just wave a fan while you tap your toes and clap your hands...however you enjoy lively music...we may even get out of our chairs and do a little dancing. The band’s goal for the Ruidoso Sunday Gospel Brunch is to lift your spirits, eat a scrumptious meal and have a fun time with family and great friends (whether we know you or not). No dusty old hymnals will be handed out but, the old fashioned hand fans provided on each table will remind you to have a little fun with some of the best old gospel spirituals…and yes, most likely you will also hear the band do a moving acapella of Jamie’s favorite song, “Amazing Grace”.
