The Red, Wine and Brews Festival, featuring craft beer and wine vendors and live music throughout the holiday weekend, will be held Friday, Saturday and Sunday, July 1-3, inside the Santa Fe Furniture Events Center at Ruidoso Downs Race Track and Casino.
New Mexico’s top beer and wine producers will be sampling their products from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
Beer and wine vendors scheduled to appear at the Red, Wine and Brews Festival include: Wooden Nickel Company of Bloomfield; Noisy Water Winery of Ruidoso; Little Toad Creek of Silver City; Black Cock Brewery of Roswell; Picacho Peak Brewing of Las Cruces; Sandia Hard Cider of Albuquerque; Glencoe Distillary of Glencoe; St. Clair Winery of Deming; Downshift Brewing of Ruidoso; HJ Winery of El Paso, Texas; and Sheehan Winery of Red River.
There will be a “Best of the Fest” competition with a $2,000 first place prize for the brewery that receives the most “People’s Choice” votes by the public.
Live music performances include: International Blues Festival Runner-up Jhett Black Friday at 6 p.m., The Yarbrough Band Saturday at 6 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m.; the Rich Chorne’ Band Saturday at 3 p.m.; Moonstone at 2 p.m. Friday and Noon on Saturday; and Jhett and Ginger Sunday at 2 p.m.
Tickets to the festival are $20 each day and include a sourvenir beer or wine glass to commemorate the festival, or $10 for non-drinkers or underage. They can be purchased at the door or online at www.raceruidoso.com.
