Hubbard Museum of the American West hosts Ray Pawley as he presents "Our Ancestors and the Animal Connection." When our ancestors immigrated to New Mexico, there were no cars, or trains available. To make a journey and start a new life, animals were essential. Domestic animals brought them to New Mexico and fed them when they got here. Without horses, or oxen to pull their wagons, or chickens to eat, the journey would have been impossible.
