Event Description:
Lincoln County Bird Club (LCBC) announces its "Fire and Feathers"  Field Trip. Expected sightings include canyon wrens, brown towhees, quail, roadrunners, collared lizards and many more birds, reptiles and small mammals. Bring water, snacks, binoculars, camera, field guides or apps, dress in layers and expect to be out most of the day. Lunching in Carrizozo is an option. LCBC welcomes birders at all levels from novice to experienced.

Valley of Fires Recreation Area four miles west of Carrizozo on US 380.

Carpools leave promptly at 8 AM from the gravel parking area west of Brewer's Shell Station on NM 532,"Ski Run Road" in Alto.
