Dr. Asher at Hubbard Museum

The Hubbard Museum of the American West hosts Dr. Asher as he presents "The Folsom and Clovis Site Discoveries of Eastern New Mexico: A paradigm shift in North American Archeology." Dr. Brendan P. Asher, Director, Blackwater Draw Nation Historic Landmark, will present this talk, which will focus in the discovery of two sites in Eastern New Mexico that caused a critical rethinking of the antiquity of human presence in North America and unequivocally demonstrated human occupation on this continent over 10,000 years ago. The historical significance of these discoveries will be highlighted, and current interpretations of Clovis and Folsom behavior will be discussed.
