Carrizozo Festival and Artists' Studio Tour

The Carrizozo Festival and Artists’ Studio Tour will be held August 12 and 13. Nestled at the crossroads of Highways 54 and 380, just north of Ruidoso, events include an old-fashioned parade, an historical homes tour, a beer garden courtesy of Sierra Blanca Brewing, the St. Francis de Paula Folklorico Dancers and street dance for the rest of us, fireworks, food trucks, children’s, museum, library and archive activities and a self-guided artist studio tour featuring 20 artists exhibiting works ranging from painting, pottery, sculpture, tile, woven copper, jewelry and a vintage village at nine sites, located close by. The Festival will take place all-day and into the night Saturday with the parade beginning at 9 am; the artists’ studio tour is both Saturday and Sunday from 11 am to 4 pm.
