Step back in time to the golden age of radio! It's Christmas Eve, 1943, and the small WOC radio station in Newark, New Jersey, is preparing to broadcast its annual holiday production, Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol. But with WW11 raging overseas, the show must go on despite rationing, blackouts and a few backstage surprises. When the actor playing Scrooge suddenly disappears, the company scrambles to keep the holiday spirit alive. Between live commercials, heartfelt carols and comic mishaps, the performers discover community, hope and courage in uncertain times. Filled with period songs and classic swing-era arrangements, A 1940's Radio Christmas Carol is both nostalgic and uplifting. Audiences are transported to an era when families gathered around the radio and every voice crackled with warmth and wonder! This radio show is put on by OSO Productions.
