DESCRIPTION:The full schedule for the 2019 Las Cruces Space Festival is here!\n\nWe are excited to launch 2019 events at Spaceport America on Sunday\, April 7th. Up to 50 planes will be allowed to fly in for the 'Open House' at the world's first purpose-built commercial spaceport.\n\nFree entertainment for the whole family will include\; meet the teams from Spaceport America and Virgin Galactic\, look out for drone and radio-controlled plane demonstrations\, opportunities to build and launch small rockets\, guest speakers\, a mass-participation space dance space arcade machines\, space games and much more! Food will also be available to purchase on site.\n\nSpaceport America CEO Dan Hicks and Very Large Array Operations Director\, Mark McKinnon will be giving talks on the latest developments at both facilities. New Mexico Space Trail Author Joseph Page\, will be signing copies of his work. 'Genesis' Artist Otto Rigan will be returning to the Spaceport to discuss his sculpture that will greet guests at the entrance and expect to join in with a fun flash mob!\n\nAdvanced registration for the free 'Open House' is required with the first 1\,200 vehicles confirmed on a first-come\, first served basis. Vehicles must have more than two passengers and no more than eight. The first 600 vehicles will be allowed to park at Spaceport America from 10 am. The second wave of 600 vehicles will be allowed in from 12 pm. The person making the online reservation must be present in the vehicle with a government-issued photo ID. Multiple applications are not permitted.\n\nAlongside all the other Festival events\, Final Frontier Tours will be offering tours of the Spaceport America Visitors' Gallery and G-shock simulator experience at a cost of $10 per adult\, $5 per child under the age of 12.
