Job Description
Full-time position as event coordinator.  The right candidate will have to the opportunity to advance quickly.  Applicant should be proficient in Word, Excel, Publisher, and Canva.  Applicant must be a self-starter, a team worker with excellent organizational skills, customer service skills and verbal/written communication skills.  Some evenings and weekends will be required.
Job Requirement:
  1. Experience working in an office/professional environment
  2. Well-organized with a keen attention to detail, must be able to proofread and correct mistakes
  3. Excellent writing and communicating skills
  4. Ability to operate autonomously with minimal supervision
  5. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Publisher and Outlook
  6. Must be proficient in Canva or have the ability to learn
  7. Must be able to work to become proficient in ChamberMaster software
  8. Familiar with Ruidoso and Lincoln County in such a manner that you can answer questions from our visitors and provide directions to attractions
Responsibilities may include but not limited to the following:
  1. Assist Director with event organization including contacting vendors, setting up events, and attending and working all events
  2. Assist Director with Chamber’s radio program Chamber Chat which is recorded weekly.  Candidate will assist with finding and booking radio guests.
  3. Record Ruidoso Roundup weekly and send to radio stations
  4. Assist Director with social media
  5. Answer phones as needed
  6. Assist Director as needed
  7. Assist in the Visitor Center as needed
  8. Must be able to lift and carry 25 lbs
