Come experience the liberation of Rome in World War II. On Saturday, July 29th, everyone is invited to come to Fort Stanton to experience a little bit of what our greatest generation experienced in liberating Europe during World War II. American, British, Italian and German camps will be set up with authentic WW2 tents, equipment vehicles and weapons. Re-enactors will be present to give explanations and demonstrations and camps will be open for public view at 3 pm.
At 5:30 WW2 reenactment battle for the public to view. Experience the action as America and her allies fight to liberate a small Italian village on the road to Rome. American and British soldiers and Italian partisans battle German soldiers using blank firing weapons and pyrotechnics.
Bring lawn chairs, blankets and coolers to get comfy and enjoy the show.
