The Sierra Blanca District Pinewood Derby will be run at the Community Youth Center Warehouse in Ruidoso, starting at 1pm on Saturday, February 25 and continuing until the racing is over!  The derby is sponsored by Sierra Blanca Motors in Ruidoso and hosted by Pack 59.  Certificates have gone out to the Cub Scout leadership in the district.  These can be redeemed for a Pinewood Derby Car kit, by an adult, at Sierra Blanca Motors.  Major trophies for First, Second and Third place will be given, as well as trophies for Most Original, Most Creative, Top Tiger Cub, Top Wolf Cub, Top Bear Cub, Top Lion Cub and Top Webelos Scout.  Every participant will receive a BSA 2012 Pinewood Derby patch.  According to Pinewood derby Chairman Kevin Flusche, there will be snacks, including popcorn and juice!
