Event Description
The town of Carrizozo puts out its annual luminaria display along Hwy 54 and Hwy 380.
Traditional Christmas Eve luminarias are made from brown paper bags weighed down with sand and illuminated from within by a lit candle. These are typically arranged in rows to create large and elaborate displays.
