23rd Bataan Death March at White Sands Missile Range
Event Description
The Bataan Memorial Death March is a challenging march through the high desert terrain of White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico, conducted in honor of the heroic service members who defended the Philippine Islands during World War II, sacrificing their freedom, health and, in many cases, their very lives.
This is an especially significant year as it commemorates the 70th anniversary of the 1942 march. Our survivors are getting on in years and we anticipate larger participation numbers as people the world over take this as a great opportunity to honor these great Americans.
